Where can I board the bus?
You may board the bus at any safe, accessible intersection (stand before the intersection), MET bus stop sign or bench. When the bus is a half block away just give the Bus Driver a wave to let him know you want the bus.

Where can I buy a bus pass?
Bus passes may be purchased from the Bus Driver, at the MET office (1705 Monad Rd.,), or City Hall (210 N. 27th). Student bus passes may be purchased at Castle Rock, Will James, Lewis & Clark, and Riverside middle schools during the school year.

How much does it cost to ride the bus?
The bus fare is $1.25 per ride and $.50 for elderly and disabled individuals. Please click on the following link for additional information.

Can the Bus Drivers make change?
MET Bus Drivers cannot make change. You will need the correct change or a check payable to “MET Transit”.
5.
What are your hours of service?
The fixed-route bus service operates from 5:50 am to 6:40 pm, Monday - Friday and 8:10 am to 5:45 pm on Saturdays.

Where are the Transfer Centers located?
There are two transfer centers. The Downtown Transfer Center is located on 3rd Avenue N. between N. 25th and N. 27th Streets. The Stewart Park Transfer Center is located at 26th Street W. and Central Ave.(behind Rimrock Mall).

Are transfers free?
Yes, transfers are free and are good for 1/2 hour.
8.
Are the buses wheelchair accessible?
Yes, all of the buses are wheelchair accessible.
9.
Does the bus go to the Airport?
The buses do not travel to the Airport.
10.
Can I take my bike on the bus?
All of the buses are equipped with two bike racks. Due to safety reasons, bikes are not allowed in the interior of the bus. Please click on the following link for additional information.

How old do I have to be to receive a senior citizen discount?
Our Senior Discount is available to anyone 62 years and older.
12.
Is there bus service to Laurel and Lockwood?
The buses operate within the City limits of Billings. They do not travel to Lockwood or Laurel.

Where is your office located?
The MET Transit office is located at 1705 Monad Road, Billings, Montana, 59101. Office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The telephone number is (406) 657-8218.

How can I qualify to use the MET Special Transit van?
MET Special Transit's, MET-Plus program is for individuals within 3/4 mile of a fixed-route bus route and whose disabling condition prevents them from using the regular fixed-route bus service. An application form must be completed and submitted to MET Special Transit. Upon receipt of the application, a verification form will be sent to the professional identified on the application. Once I qualify for MET-Plus, how do I schedule a ride?
MET-Plus clients must call MET Special Transit at (406) 248-8805 at least 24 hours, or up to two weeks, before your requested ride.

How much does it cost for a ride on MET Special Transit?
The cost for each one-way trip on MET Special Transit is $2.50.
17.
What hours does MET Special Transit operate?
MET Special Transit operates Monday - Friday, 6:00 am to approximately 6:00 pm, and on Saturdays scheduled pick-ups start at 8:15 am to 5:15 pm.
18.
Who determines if I will qualify for MET Special Transit service?
Once an application has been completed and sent to MET Special Transit, a professional verification form will be sent to the professional identified on the application. That professional should be the one who knows you best, and can determine what your disabilities are, and if they will qualify you for special transportation service.

What are the hours that I can call to schedule a ride?
MET Special Transit Dispatch is available at (406) 248-8805, Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
20.
If I am certified to ride MET Special Transit, am I only able to go to and from doctor appointments?
Once you are certified for MET Special Transit's MET-Plus program, you may go anywhere within the city limits such as shopping, hair appointments, or to another individual's home.
21.
Where can I purchase MET-Plus Punch Tickets?
You may purchase MET-Plus Punch Tickets from the driver. The cost is $25. They are good for 10 one-way rides or five round-trip rides. The drivers will accept cash or a check payable to MET Special Transit.
